Agnes Sykes, Canton Resident for 60 Years, Dies at 93

Agnes F. Sykes (Skehan), 93, of Canton passed away Monday, March 11 at the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton.

Born and raised in Boston, Sykes attended St. Margaret’s School in Dorchester. She has lived in Canton for 60 years and was a member of the Canton Catholic Women’s Club, St. John the Evangelist Altar Guild and the Legion of Mary.

Beloved wife for 70 years of George C., Sr. Mother of George C., Jr and his friend Elaine of Florida, Stephen F. and his wife Chris of California, Gerard J. of Newton and obert E. and his wife Janet of Canton. Mother-in-law of Cathy Sykes of Hanover. Also survived by seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass was held at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Friday, March 15.
