Blizzard to Hit Today

Nor'easter could dump 12 to 16 inches of snow.

A blizzard warning is in effect from noon today  through 6 pm Monday for Canton and  most of southern New England, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm is expected to hit the region today around 2pm, with the heaviest snow falling tonight, blanketing Greater Boston with 12 to 16 inches of the white stuff.

Whiteout conditions and blinding snow will cause “extremely dangerous driving conditions” and power outages are also expected at the height of the storm due to high winds and heavy snow, according to the National Weather Service.
