Canton NStar Customers May Have to Wait Until Saturday Before Power Is Back
NStar says repairs underway, but power may not be back until September 3.
For the 874 NStar customers in Canton who are due to Tropical Storm Irene, the wait continues. Unfortunately, there is no comforting news from the today.
According to an update from NStar on its website today, power will be restored by 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3.
An estimated 8.7 percent of the town is still without power, according to NStar.

Currently, residents on Greenwood Road and Pleasant Circle, among others, are in the dark.
"There is still a long way to go," NStar spokesman Mike Durand said today.

"Right now 84,000 customers are without power," Durand said of the Massachusetts NStar customers.
