Canton Obituary: Catherine Walsh, Former Bookkeeper & State Street Bank Employee

Services for Walsh, who died at 81 this past weekend, will be held Tuesday and Wednesday in Canton.

Catherine M. “Kitty” Walsh (Ennis), 81, of Canton, passed away at the Alliance Health Care in Braintree on Saturday, April 20.

Born and raised in the Field’s Corner section of Boston, Waslh graduated from Matignon High School. She worked for Boston Edison before marrying her husband Frank and starting a family. She later worked for First National Bank in Hyde Park, State Street Bank in West Roxbury and as a bookkeeper for her son Frank’s landscaping business before retiring.

Beloved wife of Frank L., Sr. Mother of Mary Ann Walsh of Quincy, Frank L., Jr. and his wife Karen of Canton, Cathy McNeal and her husband Jack of Brockton, Carol McClellan and her husband John of Plymouth, Patty Courage and her husband Marty of Milton, John Walsh and his wife Nancy of Braintree, Kevin Walsh and his wife Maria of West Roxbury and Greg Walsh and his wife Susan of Braintree and the late baby James M. Walsh. Sister of Lou Ennis of Bedford, Joe Ennis of Stoughton, Dr. Frank Ennis of Charlestown, Betty Connerty of Roslindale, Peggy Macozek of Braintree and the late Bonnie Ennis and Mary Hanley. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Visiting hours will be held at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home in Canton on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Gerard Majella ChurchCanton on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton.
