Paul B. Thomas, 87, formerly of Canton, Westport and Walpole, passed away on Friday, Oct. 19 at the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood, according to CurrentObituary.com.
Born in Clayton, New York, and grew up in Clayton, New York, he graduated from Duke University and graduated from the U.S. Naval Post Graduate School.
Thomas served in the United States Navy from 1942 until 1963 during WW II and the Korean War and retired as a Lieutenant Commander in 1963. After retiring from the Navy he worked for Kaye Instruments in Bedford retiring as a Vice president.

Beloved husband of the late Marguerite (Rogers). Father of David Thomas of Canton, Jeanne Thomas of Weymouth and the late Paul “Bud” Thomas. Father in law of Cynthia Thomas of Canton. Grandfather of Michael , Christopher and Katherine Thomas, Holly Johnson and Heather Souza. Brother of the late Norma Barnes, Russell, James and Theodore Thomas. Also survived by many nieces and nephews including Susan Sullivan of Clayton, New York.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. Interment Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
