We are blowing out the candles on our birthday cake today, as proudly celebrates our one-year milestone.

We , and today we are thanking all of our readers who have found us online and made us their go-to site in Canton.

Throughout the year, we have covered Canton in many ways. From , to high school , school to controversial , to , to where to enjoy . Canton Patch is growing and evolving every week. Our site received a face-lift, continues to add categories and provides the town with information, resources and a place to discuss topics online.

Although we began with a staff of 12, which has dwindled down to a staff of four due to budget cuts, we have survived our first year on the web.

Patch continues to spread the word about our hyper-local, news and information website that covers Canton. We have added bloggers to our site, allowing readers at home to share their voices on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Our bloggers write about everything from health to cooking to kids.

Our readers also share their thoughts and opinions in our comments section and by writing . We have heard from Canton and non-Canton residents about the NSTAR power outage issues, thank yous to town groups and opinions on disability rights.
