Daily Dose: Canton Fire Dept. Seeks Candidates for Fire Academy Program

Those interested in taking part in this year's five-week Canton Fire Academy should contact the fire department. Also in today's morning news roundup, find out who is running in the Boston Marathon.

1. Here is your weather forecast for Marathon Monday, courtesy of WHDH Weather

Warm up may be delayed for the Marathon, and that's a good thing. Upper 50s to low 60s - warmest away from the coast. A cool start in Hopkinton with temps in the 40s, then a slow climb into the afternoon. Tail wind turns to head wind into the city. Sea breeze should cap us at the low to mid 50s downtown.

2. The Canton Fire Department is offering the Citizen’s Fire Academy to all Canton residents 18 years old and over. The five-week program begins Wednesday, May 1. For details or to enroll in the program, contact Brian Marshall at 781-575-6654, Ext. 114.
