Daily Five: Bank of Canton Donates to Three Charities

Also in today's morning news roundup, find out what the Canton School Committee will discuss tonight at its regularly-scheduled meeting.

  • Lots of clouds, a sprinkle, and a cold east wind are in store for today. Highs will be only in the 40s, but an extended forecast shows 80-degree temperatures by next week.

3. Bank of Canton employees recently chose the Jimmy Fund/Dana Farber Cancer Institute, NeighborWorks Southern Mass. (formerly Neighborhood Housing Services of the South Shore), and Norfolk Advocates for Children to receive donations from the bank.

4. The Norfolk County Mosquito Control District will be conducting helicopter applications of the biorational larvicide Bti (Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis) to control mosquito larvae in Canton and surrounding towns for two to three days between April 16 and April 26.
