Family Friendly 'Active Kids Day' at Reebok Saturday

The free event begins at 11 a.m. at Reebok headquarters in Canton.

This Saturday Reebok will be hosting a free Active Kids Day at their Canton headquarters to promote children's health.

The free event will be put on by BOKS, a before-school physical activity program for kids.

The day will feature field day activities, a one-mile fun run, cooking demonstrations by local chefs and will even have an appearance by the Boston Bruins mascot.

The even starts at 11 a.m., Saturday May 4 rain or shine.

BOKS was started by a group of moms, led by Kathleen Tullie, in Natick, Mass. in 2009 and has since expanded to over 200 schools nationwide.

There are more than 80 area Boston schools that have brought BOKS to their school and First Lady Michelle Obama recently praised Kathleen and the BOKS program on stage at the annual PHA Summit in Washington D.C.

This will be their second year doing the Reebok event.
