Fire Officials: Truck Crashes into Canton Home

The driver of the truck was transported by MedFlight to a Boston hospital and is expected to recover.

Two home owners on Washington Street in Canton were not injured after a pick-up truck crashed into their house around 3:08 a.m. Saturday, according to the Canton Fire Department.

After receiving a report of the accident, Canton fire crews found the truck with an unconcious male occupant inside of it at the scene, and had a difficult time extricating him because of the unstable structure of the home, John Hutchinson of the Canton Fire Department wrote in an email to Canton Patch Saturday.

The male occupant was identified as a 34-year-old from Brooklyn, New York; he was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital via MedFlight helicopter, which landed at Devoll Field on Bolivar Street. The patient is expected to recover, Hutchinson said.
