Five Things You Need to Know Today: June 22, 2012

The Senior Olympics starts today!

1. Today is the start of the First Annual Canton Council on Aging Senior Olympics: June 22 - 23 at the Mass Hospital School. Celebrity volleyball game, swimming, races, bocce, horseshoes and lots more! Lunch and awards to follow completion of the games on Saturday. More information to follow.

2. The Canton Dolphins Swimteam needs you! Register now. Go to http://www.suburbanswimming.org/home. Practices run from 8 am - 9 am for swimmers 11 and older. 9am - 10am for swimmers age 10 and under, Monday through Friday.

3. Registration for the Summer Gymnastics Program sponsored by the held at the Rodman Building. Ages 6 to 18, beginner to advanced, two-week program beginning on June 25 - July 6, July 9 - July 20, July 23 -August 3, August 6 - August 17.

4. Blue Hills Reservation - It's always a great day for a hike! Why not explore the 125 miles of scenic trails? Purchase a trail map at the Reservation Headquarters or the Blue Hills Trailside Museum.

5. Best Gas Prices - Going for a long drive this weekend? Fill up at Rt. 138 Gas, 2782 Washington Street. $3.37 a gallon.
