Get Out: A Canton Patch Weekend Guide for March 11-13

Find something fun and local to do this weekend.

Our "Get Out" column is now replacing the Saturday "Weekend Happenings Around Town" column to allow you to get a head start on making those weekend plans. Let us know what you think and be sure to add your own weekend happenings to our events calendar.

The weekend will be here before you know it and there are lots of activities out there just waiting to be discovered. Whether we are in for sun or snow, there is sure to be something fun to do around Canton.

Saint Patrick’s Day Open House The is holding an on Saturday, March 12, at 5:00 p.m. Attend an Irish Mass at 6:00pm and stay for the entertainment at 7:00 p.m. Enjoy a traditional boiled dinner and then dance to the Andy Healy Band. General Admission is $5.

Maple Sugar Days Brookwood Farm is hosting on Saturday, March 12 and Sunday March 13, from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Get a glimpse of how maple sugar is collected and made into syrup right here in Canton. Activities for all ages and a free trolley will be offered. For more information, please call 617-698-1802 or 617-333-0690.

Live Celtic Music Are you in need of some Saint Patrick’s Day spirit? Head to the Irish Cultural Centre Saturday for some provided by Amy Basse & Friends. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the entertainment starts at 8:00 p.m.

Exhibition Tours at Mass Audubon Enjoy some art! An in-depth look at the art and stories behind them. This takes place on Sunday, March 13, at 1:30 p.m. Free with admission.

Dinner Theater Check out a peformance of " by The Paris Caberet in Stoughton on Friday, Saturday or Sunday as your waiters serve you and sing.
