Grab and Go Kids Planner: February 16

Need some kid-friendly activities to do this week in Canton?

This weekly Wednesday column is set up to give you an assortment of kid-friendly activities for the week. February is the shortest month of the year, but it does  not always feel that way. Here are five, fun activities to enjoy with the whole family.

Canton Tot Time  This gathers weekly on Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. at St. John’s Parish.  Open to the public, this play group has toys galore for the little ones and hot coffee for the parents, grandparents or caregivers.

Sledding Party The has opened up its grounds for a fabulous on February 22, from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Bring your sled and warm clothing. There will be hot chocolate, snacks and free raffles!

Bird Carvings of Elmer Crowell at Mass Audubon  Elmer Crowell was well known for his life-like bird carvings and decoys.  A sampling of his work is on display at the , daily from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Vacation Camp The   is offering a five-day from February 22-26 from 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. This camp is for skiers and snow-boarders ages seven to 15. They will have the opportunity to work with a Blue Hills instructor each day with plenty of free time to ski and ride. Registration is required.

After-School Pottery and Drawing Classes  The Visual Arts Center has a new pottery studio and they are now offering pottery lessons  along with drawing, painting and photography classes. Budding artists will have plenty to keep them !
