Canton Police Looks for Rite Aid Robbery Suspects

Canton Police are currently looking a white male in his 20s who allegedly robbed the Cobbs Corner Rite Aid in Canton last Sunday.

According to Canton Police Deputy Chief Helena Findlen, the suspect allegedly walked to the counter at the store on Sunday around 1:15 p.m. and initially asked for directions. The clerk on duty said at this point they saw a gun in his clothes. The suspect then said he had a handgun and demanded money.

Findlen said the suspect got away in a gold colored vehicle with rust spots. The clerk said an older man with grey or white hair and glasses was driving the vehicle.

A collision involving three motorcycles and a motor vehicle on Bay Road in Stoughton sent four to the hospital last Sunday evening, according to Stoughton and Easton Fire officials.

A call came in reporting the accident shortly before 7 p.m. on May 26 in the vicinity of 2530 Bay Road in Stoughton, near the Stoughton/Easton line, Captain Doug Campbell of the Stoughton Fire Department said. 

A motorcycle and car collided head on, throwing the operator of the motorcycle into the car's windshield. That motorcycle hit two other motorcycles nearby, according to Capt. Campbell.

Foxborough Man Arraigned from Hospital Bed After Allegedly Trying to Kill Ex-Wife 

Glenn A. Saltis was arraigned from his hospital bed in Norwood Tuesday afternoon after the Foxborough resident and town’s electrical inspector was arrested for allegedly attacking and severely injuring his ex-wife on Memorial Day.

The arraignment lasted just three minutes at Norwood Hospital as Saltis was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, mayhem, assault to murder, and aggravated assault and battery, according to 7News.

Saltis’ ex-wife, Julie Saltis, reportedly suffered a gash on the right side of her head and is being treated at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence for what has been described by the Norfolk County District Attorney’s office as “life-threatening” injuries.

Glenn Saltis allegedly attacked Julie Saltis with his fists and metal shelving from the master bedroom of his 72 Ridge Rd. home, according to the arrest report. Julie Saltis was reportedly “covered in blood from her head to her feet” when she fled the Ridge Road residence in her Toyota 4Runner and drove to her Church Street apartment.

Serious Motorcycle Accident in Easton Sends One to Hospital Thursday Night

A 56-year-old male sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle accident this past Thursday night on Pine Street in Easton.

Easton Fire Captain David Beals said the victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital by a West Bridgewater ambulance. From there, he will be med-flighted to a Boston hospital for further evaluation.

Beals said emergency officials responded to the call at approximately 7:40 p.m. Upon arrival, officials found the victim conscious in the road. The motorcyle was upside down near him, Beals said.
