Young Braintree Woman, Blue Hills Grad, Dies After Accident in Weymouth

Stephanie Harrington, a 21-year-old Braintree woman and 2008 , has died of injuries sustained during a car accident in Weymouth on Tuesday night, according to news reports.

Both the Patriot Ledger and WHDH have reported that Harrington was hit by at least one vehicle at about 8:30 p.m. while attempting to cross Route 53 in Weymouth. The Ledger is reporting that she was hit by two vehicles, the second after she was thrown into oncoming traffic by the first.

Weymouth police told the Ledger that the second vehicle did not stop.

Harrington was brought to after the accident, where she died as a result of severe injuries, the reports said. SSH spokeswoman Sarah Darcy confirmed to Patch that Harrington is now deceased.

, a communications specialist with Blue Hills Regional, said that Harrington graduated from the Canton-based school in 2008 with a concentration in health occupations. She also confirmed Harrington was from Braintree.
