Meet the Artist Series- Lynn Mohney, Jewelry Designer

Join us for Wine, Cheese, good company and meet one of the artists that display work at Cristina Hurley Gallery. Lynn Mohney is a jewelry designer/metalsmith who, along with her husband, Duane Mohney, creates lovely, original works of wearable art in copper and silver. Get to know her process by meeting her at this event, feel free to ask her questions, learn something new and meet local artists in a casual, relaxing environment. Bring a friend or 2 and enjoy a chat and a drink!
Prunella's Workshop is a wife and husband family business that specializes in metal jewelry and clothing accessories inspired by the medieval and renaissance period. We have a love of the past, and a fascination with the many similarities ancient jewelry has to the current fashion in jewelry. Some of our work strives to be as authentic as possible to the period whence it originated, while other pieces are mere inspirations from the past with a modern flair. We also have a great fondness for the oral tradition of fairy tales and folk lore, which we try to incorporate into our work. We feel that the old stories are dying, replaced by commercialism-while we certainly enjoy those new versions too, we feel it is important to keep old traditions alive.
Lynn Mohney, the Designer, obtained a degree in graphic design in 1996 from Notre Dame College, and has various works in multi media; however, it was not until 2006, that she found her calling to work in precious metals.
