Former Canton Residents Among Those Devastated by Blizzard Flooding and Fires

Homecoming Fundraiser Planned to Support Scituate Family Relief Fund

Friends of former Canton residents Carey Doolan and Cliff Thompson have organized an event to support the couple and their Scituate neighbors who were devastated by December's blizzard. While
high seas and flooding severely damaged many homes in their neighborhood, the Doolan-Thompson residence was one of two that was completely lost due to a fast-moving fire.

Fortunately, Cary (CHS '84), Cliff (CHS '74), their son, and Carey's mother had evacuated their home on December 26 when flood warnings were issued. Early the next morning, they received the call that their home was on fire and could not be saved.

All are welcome to attend "A Canton Homecoming for the Scituate Family Relief Fund" which is scheduled for Friday, February 4th at the Canton Town Club. The fundraiser will run from 7:30pm – 12:00am and tickets are $15 per person or $25 per couple. The evening will include appetizers, dancing, raffles, a silent auction, and a cash bar.

Advanced ticket orders are requested. Please contact Stacey at #617-953-5364 or email staceyamiz@yahoo.com to place your order.

Event organizers wish to express their gratitude to the Canton Town Club for hosting, to Gary Titus for his DJ services, and to all those who have generously donated to the raffle and silent auction.

If you're unable to attend, donations are accepted at:
