Canton Residents Without Power After October Nor'Easter

NSTAR is reporting 2,708 Canton customers without power on Sunday.

Seems like just blew out of Canton and in comes the . The few inches of heavy, wet precipitation weighed down the trees and power lines in Canton and caused power outages once again.

As of Sunday morning, NSTAR is reporting that 2,708 Canton customers are without power. That is 26.9% of the town's customers. The electric company is "assessing damage" in town, and no restoration time is available yet.

"NSTAR has already restored power to over 70,000 customers, with 114,000 customers currently without power," the company stated on its residential website.

The challenge with the autumn snowstorm is that the leaves are still covering all of the tree branches, making them that much heavier and more likely to break off.

Neighbors onsaid they are without power today. The road was one of the last to be restored post-Irene.
