1. The Infractions will be the featured performers at the Canton Recreation Department's Concert Series at the Metropolis Ice Rink at 7 p.m.

2. The Canton Zoning Board of Appeals will be meeting Thursday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.

3. According to their website, the Canton High athletic department has curfew for the fields because of the EEE threat. The grass fields are closed at 6 p.m., while the turf field closes at 8 p.m. After Labor Day, the administration will revist the policy.

4. The Boston Children's Hospital will be holding a blood drive at the Stoughton Striar YMCA, 445 Central St. from 1-6 p.m. Positive ID is required. To make an appointment, log onto halfpints.childrenshospital.org and the sponsor code for the drive is YMCASTOUGH or call Mary Coulter-Bennett at 781-784-2016. ext. 229.
