Campers get CLAY WILD this summer!

Pottery programs at the Museum of American Bird Art are a hot offering with addition of a kiln plus a visiting artist for all clay themed sessions.

The Museum of American Bird Art is excited to be working with visiting artist Dana Schildkraut for their Wild at Art Summer Camp. Dana will assist in all of the Museums's clay themed weeks which include four separate weeks for campers of a variety of ages. With the addition of a new kiln at the summer camp this year, the clay programs are postioned to be some the hottest offerings of their summer camp season.

Dana earned both a Bachelor of Fine Arts (with a concentration in sculpture) and a Master of Arts in Teaching (Visual Art Education) from Manhattanville College. Her artwork has been featured in galleries around New York State.

Dana is passionate about creating art and art education. She often incorporates themes of wings, birds, and nests into her artwork, and is consistently inspired by nature. Making masks and puppets is a specialty of Dana's, and she served as the Mask and Puppet designer for iLuminate's New York City show "Artist of Light." Dana taught high-school level Studio Art, Jewelry & Metalwork, Art History, Painting, and Fashion Design and taught at the Katonah Museum of Art.
