Canton Obituary: Claire T. Connelly

Claire T. (Sparks) Connelly, age 83 of Canton, passed away at the Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham on June 25.

Born and raised in Dorchester, she attended Jeremiah Burke High School.

She worked at Shawmut Bank for 29 years in the Adjustment Department as a Manager and later worked at the Bank of Canton in the Commercial Loan Department before retiring. She lived in Canton since 1978.

Beloved wife of the late Mark T. Connelly.

Mother of Patrick and his wife Karen of Braintree, Mark Jr. and his wife Joan of Weymouth, Kathleen McLaughlin and her husband Kevin of Stoneham, Stephen and his wife Sandra of Stoughton, Shawn of Canton, and Paul and his wife Lauren of Stoughton.

Sister of Evelyn O’Brien of Arlington and the late Edmund, Elaine, George, Catherine and Paul. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home at 455 Washington St. in Canton Friday from 4-8 p.m. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. Burial at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Queen Anne Nursing Home, Patient Activity Fund, 50 Recreation Dr. Hingham, MA 02043.
