Canton Obituary: Cornelia Becker, 94

Cornelia "Nell" T. Becker, 94, died in Knoxville, Tennessee on Thursday, Oct. 4, according to an obituary on CurrentObituary.com.

Formally of Canton and Sun City, Arizona, Becker resided the past few years at River Oaks Place in Lenoir City, Tennessee. She was a retired employee of the EPA, Boston.

While in Sun City, Becker was an active member of the St. Clement’s Catholic Church Alter Guild. Preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Oliver R. Becker, her parents Louis and Anna Talpos, and brothers Louis and John Talpos. Cornelia is survived by her daughter Nancy Ruane and her husband John, of Marstons Mills; sons Oliver and wife Judy, of Lottsburg, Virginia, Bruce and wife Jackie, of Farragut, Tennessee, Robert and wife, Kris Walters, of Tumwater, Washington, William and wife Elizabeth; nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Nell's Life Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. at Saint John the Evangelist Church on Washington Street in Canton. Interment will follow at the Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.

Visiting hours were held at the Roache - Pushard Family Home for Funerals in Canton, on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
