Canton Obituary: Dorothy Joyce (Lynch), 91

Dorothy M. Joyce (Lynch), 91, of Canton, formerly of 1000 Southern Artery Quincy & Mattapan, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28 at the Copley at Stoughton.

Born and raised in Boston, she attended Boston Schools. She worked as an Administrative Clerk for New England Telephone (Verizon) for many years and was a member of the New England Telephone Pioneers.

Beloved mother of Martin & his wife Margaret of York Harbor, Maine, Michael and his wife Claire of Canton, Kathryn Arcese and her husband Stephen of Canton, Dorothy Donovan & her husband James of Plymouth, Stephen of Lowell and the late Joseph Joyce. Sister of Robert Lynch of California, Patrick Lynch of Connecticut and the late Joseph Lynch, Catherine O’Neill and Richard Lynch. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home in Canton on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Funeral mass at St. Gerard Majella Church Canton Saturday morning at 10. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
