Canton Obituary: John F. Doyle

Mr. Doyle lived in Canton for 49 years and was a veteran of the Korean War.

John F. Doyle age 82 of Canton passed away April 25th at the Epoch of Norton.

Born and raised in Boston, he attended Boston Schools and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He worked as a Foreman for the MBTA for over 20 years and retired in 2001.

He has lived in Canton for 49 years where he was a member of the American Legion Post # 24.

Beloved husband of Mildred I. (Gachon). Loving son of the late Nora Feeney and John Doyle. Father of Kathleen A. Doyle-Winslow and her husband David Winslow of Upton, John F. III and his wife Tracy of FL, Gregg P. and his wife Nicole of PA, Richard T. and his wife Gina of N.C. and Brian L. Doyle of Norton. Brother of Ann Cholewinski of S. Boston, Lawrence Doyle of Holbrook and the late Thomas Mahan. Also survived by 8 grandchildren.

Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Monday 4-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Tuesday morning at 10:30. Burial VA National Cemetery, Bourne Tuesday afternoon at 1:15 pm. Army Veteran of the Korean War.
