Canton Obituary: Joseph M. Krol

Joseph M. Krol of Canton, passed away following a brief illness July 12, 2013. He was 89 years old.

Joseph M. Krol of Canton, formerly of Brighton, died peacefully following a brief illness July 12, 2013. He was 89 years old.

Joseph was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired Vice President of sales for Boston Gas where he worked for over 30 years. He was also was a Master Plumber & Pipefitter and enjoyed gardening and cooking.

He was the beloved husband of the late Florence (Sullivan) Krol and the late Virginia M. (On) Krol. Loving father of David Krol and his wife, Janet of Norwood, Joanne Baker and her husband, Brian "Danny" of Lakeville, Joseph Krol, Jr. and his wife, Laureen of Sandwich, Donna Krol of Canton, Debra Barrett of Wrentham, Denise Renaghan and her husband, Matthew of Quincy, Linda McCarthy and husband, Harold of Tewksbury.

Dear brother of "Kitty" Schettini and her late husband, Frank. Brother of the late Francis "Frenchy" and Joe Mezaros, Marie and Peter Meier, Helen Krol, Frank and Louise Krol and Steve and Rose Krol.

He is also survived by his many grand and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Joseph’s Life at Saint Gerard Majella Church, Canton, Tuesday July 16, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Brighton.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday morning from 8-9:30 a.m. at the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman St. in Canton.
