Canton Obituary: Joseph M. Webb

Joseph M. Webb of Canton, formerly of Lowell, died Friday, June 28, 2013.

Beloved husband of Jane M. Maguire. Devoted son of the late Mary (Jeffrey) and James L. Webb Sr. Loving brother of David and his wife Joann of Windham, ME, Nancy Ramirez of Lawrence and the late James L. Webb Jr. of Lowell.

Also survived by 14 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews.

Joe was the founder and President of Webb Consulting Services LLC. Member and Past President of the Society of Telecommunications Consultants (STC). Member of HIMSS, NENA and BICSI Associations.

Late member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2095 in Canton, Canton Fish & Game Club, and the Canton Cable Advisory Committee.

He attended Sacred Heart School, Bellefontaine Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary in Lenox, and Berkshire Community College.

Joe was a talker, and enjoyed listening to a wide range music, especially the Beatles, Rush and Jimmy Buffett. He was a student of American history – particularly the Constitution, the Amendments and the American flag. He passionately followed the Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins.

He supported the Boy Scouts of America Old Colony Council and enjoyed hunting and fishing, reading mystery novels and was a staunch supporter of Rush Limbaugh and the Republican Party.

Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton on Monday, July 1 at 11 a.m. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home at 455 Washington St. in Canton on Monday prior to the mass, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe’s memory may be made to St. Joseph’s Indian School, P.O. Box 100, Chamberlain, SD 57325.
