Canton Obituary: William J. "Buzz" Walsh, 80

Visiting hours Wednesday in the Pushard Family Funeral Home in Canton from 4-8 p.m.

William J. “ Buzz” Walsh, 80, of Canton, died Sunday, Jan. 27 in Caritas Norwood Hospital following a long illness.

Born in Boston he graduated from Boston Technical High School and Northeastern University class of 1956. Buzz was a retired civil engineer for the Environmental Protection Agency. He was involved with Canton Youth Hockey, The Knights of Columbus Council #2095, and was a parishioner of St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton.

Devoted husband of Ann R. Walsh (Campbell) of Canton. Loving father of Helen A. O’Brien and her husband Edward of Wrentham, William J. Walsh and his wife Janet of Franklin, and Edward T. Walsh and his wife Ann of Canton. Loving brother of Carol Dooley and her husband John of Dedham, Proud grandfather of Sean O’Brien, Michael O’Brien, Colleen Walsh, Alexandra Walsh, and Shayne Walsh.

Visiting hours Wednesday in the Pushard Family Funeral Home, located at 210 Sherman St. in Canton from 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Jan. 31 in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Milton Cemetery.
