Former Canton Resident, Chris Papageorge, Dies at 48

Visiting hours will be held in Wellesley Tuesday night and funeral services to be held in Weston on Wednesday morning.

Chris W. Papageorge, of Saugus, formerly of Canton, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 9 at age 48.

Beloved husband of Marianne R. (Ellis) Papageorge formerly of Wakefield. Loving father of Nicholas W. and Stephen E. Papageorge of Saugus. Devoted son of Connie P. (Polley) Papageorge of Canton and the late Dr. William G. Papageorge. Brother of Amy Parker and her husband Ian of Bristol, Rhode Island, George Papageorge and his wife Dana of Jackson Heights, New York, Joan Vontzalides and her husband Nicholas of Ipswich, William Papageorge and his wife Cynthia of Hampstead, New Hampshire. Beloved nephew of Jean Polley of Canton, Lee Polley of Palm Beach, Florida, Elaine Polley of South Yarmouth, Patricia Polley of Richmond, Virginia. Son in law of Mary Ellis of Wakefield, and the late Dr. Donald Ellis. Also survived by many adoring nieces and nephews.

Papageorge was a Finance Manager for John's Auto Sales of Somerville. Graduate of Milton Academy and attended the University of New Hampshire and Boston University.

Visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rte. 16) in Wellesley on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.

Funeral Service in St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 57 Brown St., Weston, Wednesday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
