Alleged Kidnapping Victim Locks Herself in Canton Dunkin' Donuts Bathroom; Two Men Arrested by Canton Police

Woman was allegedly kidnapped and escaped in Canton.

A Mattapan woman locked herself in the Washington Street in Canton after allegedly being kidnapped on Thursday morning. arrested two Boston men on Thursday and charged each with one count of kidnapping.

Canton Police arrested Patrick Voltaire Jr., 24, of Dorchester, and Jakyres S. McKinney, 19, 0f Dorchester, each on a count of kidnapping.

Now, Canton Police are investigating the case of the Mattapan woman who was allegedly "forcibly removed from her home and placed in a car with four other individuals," according to Canton Police Lt. Helena Findlen.

The woman was put into the car with the "two arrested males and two other females (whom she did not know,)" Findlen said. "She stated that this occurred at about 11:00 a.m.Β  She stated that the vehicle was equipped with child locks and she could not get out."

The group stopped "to use the bathroom in Canton and this is when she locked herself in the bathroom at and alerted the employee there that she had been kidnapped," Findlen said. Β

"We are working closely with Boston Police Department detectives looking at a possible human trafficking angle–but that is just a possible motive," she stated.
