Arraignment Set for Driver Charged in Fatal Stoughton Crash

A West Bridgewater woman faces charges after a fatal accident that killed an Easton man in Stoughton last December.

An arraignment date has been set for a West Bridgewater woman charged after a fatal accident last December in Stoughton

Pamela Sundquist will be arraigned on Tuesday, April 22 at Norfolk Superior Court in Dedham, Norfolk County District Attorney spokesperson David Traub confirmed Wednesday. 

Sundquist, 30, of West Bridgewater, faces motor vehicle homicide and other charges in teh Dec. 31, 2013 Stoughton car accident that claimed the life of Easton resident Christopher Wengler, 32.

The accident occurred on Rte. 138 on the Stoughton-Canton line at around 1:32 a.m. Wengler had been driving a 1995 Honda Accord when he was allegedly hit by Sundquist, who was driving a 2011 Ford Edge. Wengler was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he died of his injuries. A GoFundMe account was subsequently established to help raise funds for Wengler's family.

Sundquist was indicted by a Norfolk County grand jury on March 20 on charges of manslaughter, negligent motor vehicle homicide, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stay within marked lanes and speeding, Traub said.

The prosecuting attorney in the case is Assistant District Attorney Adam Lally.
