Assault and Battery and OUIL Cases Continued

The following information came from Stoughton District Court. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction unless otherwise stated.

Assault and battery case continued in court

Gregg Warburton, 47, of 44 Green Lodge St., Canton had charges of assault and battery, intimidating a witness, and resisting arrest continued to July 24 in Stoughton District Court. The charges stem from a April 13 incident in Canton at 1:30 p.m. when police responded to an abandoned 911 call with yelling heard in the background. Wartburton is accused of grabbing his wife by the arm, taking the phone away from her, and removing the battery.

OUI case contined for hearing in September

Timothy McShea, 35, of 106 Adams St., Braintree had charges of leaving the scene of a property damage accident, a state highway traffic violation, speeding, operating under the influence of alcohol, and possession of marijuana continued to Sept. 10 in Stoughton District Court. The charges stem from a Nov. 16, 2007 incident in Canton at 12:40 a.m. when police observed a blue Nissan Pathfinder pass the cruiser on Route 93 traveling at 90 to 100 mph. Police later determined that the vehicle had previously struck another vehicle and did not stop. Police said they stopped McShea's vehicle, conducted field sobriety tests, and arrested him on suspicion of being impaired.
