Canton Driver Charged in Crash Involving School Bus, Car

A 25-year-old Canton man is being charged with various offenses including possession of cocaine.

Police are officially charging a Canton driver involved in a between a school bus and a motor vehicle.

According to Lt. Chris Baker of the Needham Police Department, a 25-year-old Canton man is being charged with failure to keep right of an oncoming motor vehicle, a seatbelt violation, operating to endanger, speeding and possession of cocaine. Needham Police have not yet specified if the man in question was driving the bus or the car.

The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 11 on High Rock Street in Needham. The bus, which police have stated was not from Needham, and a motor vehicle collided head-on, leaving both drivers with treatable injuries.

No children were on the school bus at the time of the crash.
