Canton Fire Department Warns Residents of Scam
The Canton Fire Department is not asking for donations over the phone.
Canton residents beware. If you receive a call from an alleged Canton firefighter seeking donations, hang up.
Canton Fire Chief said the Canton Fire Department is not seeking monetary donations over the phone. The calls, from a group affiliated with All Pro Events, is a scam.
At a meeting of the Norfolk County fire chiefs, Walpole Fire Chief Timothy Bailey informed the Canton chief that folks in his town were receiving the same calls. The callers identify themselves as Canton firefighters asking for donations.
