Canton Police Log: Arrests, Larceny and Protective Custody

The following information was provided by the Canton Police Department daily log. Where arrestes are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Tuesday, Nov. 6

12:05 a.m. - There was malicious damage on Burns Avenue. Services were rendered.

12:10 a.m. - A dispute at the McDonald's restaurant on Washington Street. Police responded and mediated.

11:06 a.m. - A 35-year-old resident of Quincy was charged with larceny for using a motor vehicle without authority at Y D Autobody on Turnpike Street.

4:41 p.m. - A 45-year-old Stoughton resident was stopped on Washington Street and charged with driving an uninsured motor vehicle with a revoked registration.

5:16 p.m. - Erratic driving of a motor vehicle on Neponset Street. Driver was spoken to.

7:53 p.m. - A dispute was reported at the Blue Hill Lodge on Church Street. Party was spoken to.

9:57 p.m. - There was a suspicious person on Jackson Street. Party was spoken to.

Wednesday, Nov. 7

11:28 a.m. - A 35 year old Rockland resident was involved in suspicious activity on Culloden Drive and upon investigation it turned out that there was a warrant for his arrest in another town. He was arrested on the warrant and also faces charges in Canton on forgery.

9:50 p.m. - There was a noise complaint on Hagen Court. Party was spoken to.

Thursday, Nov. 8

2:32 p.m. - Threats were made at Canton High School, Building B on Washington Street. Report to be filed.

Saturday, Nov. 10

2:14 p.m. - A 49 year old motorist from Quincy was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failed to yield at an intersection.

Sunday, Nov. 11

12:32 a.m. - A 32-year-old Canton resident on Old Randolph Street was taken into protective custody and charged with drunkenness.

3:04 a.m. - There was a disturbance on on Washington Street. Peace was restored.

7:20 p.m. - An unwanted person, 49-year-old Canton resident was arrested on Lawrence Street and taken in to protective custody.

7:57 p.m. - Further departmental action for larceny/forgery and fraud at Shaws Supermarket on Washington Street.

Monday, Nov. 12

3:06 a.m. -  Person who was taken in to protective custody at the Canton Poilice Department on Washington Street was transported to the hospital. 

9:31 a.m. - Larceny/Forgery/Fraud at Shaws Supermarket on Washington Street. Report to be filed.

4:31 p.m. - A 45 year old Canton resident was charged with driving an uninsured motor vehicle with a revoked registration on Turnpike Street and Pequot Way.

6:30 p.m. - Annoying phone calls/harassment at Arboretum Way. Report to be filed.

8:54 p.m. - There was suspicious activity on Independence Street. Police service was given.

Tuesday, Nov. 13

8:25 p.m. - A 52-year-old Brockton resident was stopped on Washington Street and charged with driving an uninsured motor vehicle, the registration had been revoked and the vehicle was unregistered.

8:29 p.m. - There was a report of suspicious persons on Newell Hagen Court. They were gone on arrival.
