Canton Police Log May 28, 2012: Norwood Man Arrested for Possession of Heroin and DUI

Friday, May 25
5:01 pm Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Elm Street and arrested Ronald D. Vater, 26, of 124 Lane Drive, Norwood on charges of driving under the influence of drugs as a second offense, possession of heroin, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation.
6:14 p.m. Police responded to assist fire personnel on Neponset Street and issued summons to Anthony Cossette, 49, of 159 Helm St., North Attleboro, Jacob Way, 21, of 471 Broadway, North Attleboro, and Nichola Cossette, 21, of 24 Lincoln Ave., Plainville for possession of a Class B drug.

6:25 p.m. Police responded to a report of malicious damage at Tower Hill Center for Health and Rehabilitation on Meadowbrook Way.
11:23 p.m. Police responded to a report of a dispute on York Street. Services rendered.

Saturday, May 26
1:36 a.m. Police responded to a report of suspicious activity at the Shell gas station on Washington Street and arrested Jose R. Leon-Berrios, 27,of 23 Sullivan Road, Stoughton on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol as a second offense and license not in possession.
1:34 p.m. Police stopped a motor vehicle on Washington Street and issued a summons for driving an uninsured vehicle, driving with registration suspended, and driving an unregistered vehicle.
10:26 p.m. Police responded to a report of a disturbance on Washington Street and arrested Martin P. Devine, 44, of 751 Washington St., Canton on a charge of assault and battery.
Sunday, May 27
9:53 a.m. Police responded to a report of a restraining order violation and arrested Martin P. Devine, 44, of 751 WashingtonSt., Canton on a charge of violation of an abuse prevention order.
6:30 p.m Police responded to a report of an assault on Ames Avenue and arrested Darryl Hicks, 51, of 54 Ames Ave., Canton. On a charge of assault and battery.
Monday, May 29
12:02 a.m. Police responded to a report of youths gathering on Turtle Brook Road.
11:48 a.m. Police reponded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Washington Street at Dedham Street.
