EMT Training to Be Held in Canton

The Canton Fire Department will host the EMT training program Tuesday and Thursday evenings from Sept. 10 to Dec. 19.

Anyone looking to become an EMT can take training courses this Fall at the Canton Fire Department. 

The Department will host the EMT training program Tuesday and Thursday evenings from Sept. 10 to Dec. 19., according to instructor Ann Healey. 

Healey said the course is open to anyone and said even young high school graduates take the course. She said many aspiring firefighters take the exam because it is a requirement.

The price of the session cost $750 per person and $650 for Canton residents.  The price includes materials and books.

Upon completion of the course, students will be eligible to take the National state exam to become certified as an EMT.
