State Police Uncover Four Kilos of Cocaine After Traffic Stop in Canton

A Milwaukee man is under arrested for drug trafficking.

At 10 a.m. on Saturday, troopers covering Boston and the surrounding areas stopped a Nissan Quest on Route 93 northbound in Canton for motor vehicle violations. K9 units were called in after the driver vaulted over a guardrail down a steep, rocky embankment, police said.

The operator, Hector Rivera Martinez, 40, of Milwaukee, WI, was taken into custody a short time later.

The State Police K9 unit then found four, separately-packaged bundles of cocaine hidden in the van. Martinez was taken into custody and charged with trafficking in a Class B (cocaine) substance, said police.

He is currently being held on $200,000 dollars bail. Martinez is expected to appear in court on Monday for his arraignment.
