Braintree police arrested two men at the South Shore Plaza Monday evening after officers allegedly saw them sell drugs in the parking lot.
Police found more than one pound of marijuana in two vacuum-sealed bags in a Ford 500 truck occupied by Bernard J. Bayles, 25 of Halifax, and Sean M. Grealish, 27 of Hanover, Chief Russell Jenkins said in a statement.
The discovery came after Detective Matthew Heslam saw the men parked at the Plaza and saw Grealish get into another car that stopped to let him in before driving around the parking lot briefy.
Grealish returned to the truck and both vehicles left, Jenkins said.
Police found a small amount of marijuana inside the second vehicle, registered in Maine and occupied by a 27-year-old Portland, ME man and a 25-year-old Weymouth man. They were not charged and their names were not released.
Both Bayles and Grealish were placed under arrest and charged with distribution of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate the Controlled Substances Act.
