Police charged two Stoughton men with assaulting their roommate, who later died.
Robert Westbrooks, 50, and Edward Aguiar, 40, both of 275 West Street, were charged with domestic assault and battery after they attacked their roommate, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney's office. Domestic assault and battery is levied against people who live in the same place, regardless of marital status or other relationship.
The victim, Jonathan Munro, 52, was taken to Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Prosecutors are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The DA's office did not disclose any details about the altercation between Munro, Westbrooks and Aguiar.
Westbrooks and Aguiar will be arraigned Monday morning in Stoughton District Court.
