Update: Canton, Norwood and Sharon Fire Responded to Crash on 95 Thursday

, Sharon and Norwood Fire departments responded to a multi-car crash on I-95 late Thursday morning. , involving a tour bus, an SUV and a car, temporarily shut the highway down for about two hours, according to officials.

Massachusetts State Police also responded to the 11:52 a.m. accident at exit 11 on the Norwood/Canton line.

"We assisted with the extrication of a patient trapped in the vehicle, the one who was Med-Flighted," Canton Fire Lt. Brian Marshall said.

According to State Police, preliminary reports "indicate that a 2011 Lexus RX350 sport utility vehicle, operated by a 68-year-old Randolph man, struck the rear of a 1992 Toyota Celica operated by a person whose identity is not yet known. The Toyota then struck the rear of the Brush Hill tour bus operated by Noel Sancho, 49, of Quincy. Mr. Sancho was not injured in the crash."

The driver of the Toyota was transported by medical helicopter to Beth Israel Hospital with serious injuries, State Police said, while the driver of the Lexus was transported by ambulance to Norwood Hospital with serious injuries.

Marshall said a fuel spill from one of the vehicle's also had to be contained. The Canton Fire Department did not transport any of the victims to the hospital, he noted. Norwood transported a patient via ambulance, he said.

Canton Fire left the scene at about 12:30 p.m. The highway was reopened at about 1:40 p.m., according to police.
