Bottled Water Available for Canton Residents; Boil Water Order Extended Until Monday

The town is distributing bottled water to Canton residents on Friday and Saturday.

Unfortunately, folks in Canton . The town of Canton has extended the boil water order until Monday, October 3.

Canton residents have been unable to drink tap water since Tuesday. The town is now offering free bottled water to all Canton residents. Starting on Friday, September 30, Canton residents can pick up their free water on Will Drive.

Water distribution will be available on Friday September 30 and Saturday, October 1, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at 135 Will Drive. The town is asking residents to enter Will Drive from Pleasant Street and exit via North Street.

When going to pick up the free bottled water, folks must bring proof of Canton residency with them in order to receive water, according to the town.

The town is also reminding Canton residents and businesses that only boiled or bottled water can be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and cooking. The town said it "is safe to wash your clothes, wash your hands and to take a shower with Canton tap water."
