Canton Cleaning Up After the October Storm

The town is picking up storm debris from November 7-18.

After the caused quite the mess in Canton, along with power outages, folks are finally starting to clean up the downed tree limbs, branches and debris. The town of Canton will be picking up residential storm debris from Monday, November 7 through Monday, November 18.

The will collect all tree debris from residential properties. The DPW is asking folks to place all branches/limbs/debris on the curbside of their homes by Monday, November 7. Pickup is scheduled to start in the Washington Street and High Street areas, moving clockwise around town, ending in the Estey Way and Pleasant Street areas, according to the DPW notice.

In related, post-storm news, the state Department of Public Utilities is holding public meetings on NSTAR and National Grid's response in storm emergencies.
