Voters did not get out the vote in Canton yesterday for the . Only 327 residents hit the poles to vote for the uncontested races. That is a 2.29 percent turnout, according to .
"Unfortunately, it was a very low turnout," Kenney said. "This is the first time that I can remember that there were no contested races."
The clerk's office expected a low turnout, as there were none of the typical calls from residents inquiring where to vote or what time the polls were open, she noted. Only about 15 absentee ballots were requested, "which is unusual," she said.
Typically, the town sees a 12 percent voter turnout for a Town Election, Kenney said.

Shea to Trustees to the Canton Public Library.
