How to Register to Vote in Canton

In honor of National Voter Registration Day, we’re giving you all the information you need on how and where to register to vote.

If you haven’t yet registered to vote, get it off your to-do list now.

Today, Tuesday, Sept. 25, is National Voter Registration Day, and thousands of local, state and national organizations have mobilized to make sure millions of people don’t miss the chance to cast their vote in this year’s elections.

Six million people didn’t vote in the 2008 elections because they either did not know how to register or because they missed the voter registration deadline.

The voter registration deadline for Massachusetts is Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Here’s information on how Canton residents can register in time for the Nov. 6 elections:

  • Download a voter registration form from the Secretary of State William F. Galvin's website and mail it to:
    • Canton Town Clerk's Office
      801 Washington St.
      Canton, MA 02021
  • Visit the Canton Town Clerk's office to register in person. The Town Clerk's office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17 for voter registration.
  • If you have any questions, please call the Town Clerk's Office at 781-821-5013 or email tkenney@town.canton.ma.us.

i missed the registration this year again, as I missed in 2008. I have been living in Canton for 12 years, now i am so frustrated for I have lost two times to vote. Town of Canton should have a better communicate with it's residents. Cecei Chen resident of 45 Waterman Road, Canton
