Meet Canton Deparment of Recreation's New Playground Director
LeAnn Kilduff was recently hired as Canton Department of Recreation's new playground director.
LeAnn Kilduff was recently hired by the Canton Department of Recreation as its new playground director.
"The playground program is a free camp program for Canton residents and caters to children between the ages of 7 and through the completion of eighth grade," Kilduff said. "Although we tend to be very informal, there is a little bit of structure in that we base at least two activities on our weekly theme."
"This week our theme is pirates so many of the children are making pirate hats. In the weeks to follow we will have an olympic theme, a circus theme and a wild, Wild West theme," continued Kilduff. "We always have an arts and crafts activity, ball playing, bubbles and water play. Here at the Messinger Street playground there is a stream in back where the children like to explore."
