What Happens to South Coast Rail When Governor's Gone?

With Governor Deval Patrick heading into his last year, there's a rush to get the South Coast Rail in motion quickly or hope the next governor is in support of the plan, according to a report in the Boston Globe.
Supporters of the plan say whether it goes through depends of the next governor being willing to push the project. A state legislature plan put funding for the South Coast Rail project in a multiyear bill to prove rail service to Fall River, New Bedford and Taunton.
The line is set to go through Stoughton and the town has been fighting against the plan.
