Canton Whiz Kid: Daniel Zaleski

Blue Hills Regional High School Senior takes advantage of every opportunity.

Accomplishments: Dan Zaleski, a senior in the Blue Hills Electronics Program and president of the school’s National Honor Society Chapter, is a Life Scout. Very close to earning the honorable Eagle Scout rank from the Boy Scouts of America, Zaleski said that Scouts “has taught me about trust and being prepared.”

Being prepared means he takes advantage of opportunities by giving the best he has. “I am a very determined person and learn as much as I can in school because I know it will benefit me in life," the senior said.

Zaleski is a leader and a member of many clubs, both in and out of school. As a leader, “I play an important role for the group…providing advice and help. All members work together in order to benefit the group. Teamwork is important in life” and his experiences have taught him to “help and trust others.” 

Judy Bass, Communications Specialist at Blue Hills reports he “has consistently ranked highest in the Class of 2011.” Zaleski is captain of the Math Team, a Rensselaer Medalist and a recipient of the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship.

Zaleski plans to “attend a four year college for electrical engineering” next year, and hopes to one day earn his PhD in electrical engineering.
