The JFK School held the annual event over the weekend.

The music poured out of the on Saturday as the annual winter event, the 2011 Winter Fling, was in full swing.

And swinging in the cafeteria, drawing hundreds from outside and from the corridors, were the JFK Xylos. Anyone who missed their concert on February 7 in , had the chance to hear these talented students. Led by Becky Smart,  who in addition to conducting this group, teaches music, band, chorus and Xylos at the Kennedy School.

The group had the audience swinging, swaying and cheering with their selections.

Additional live performances were provided by , a Canton based dance troupe, Ian Rich, a magician, and the Canton High School Jazz Combo.

But the 2011 Winter Fling was by no means all music and dancing.  The corridors and classrooms of the JFK were stuffed with kids of all ages checking out all the raffles, games, sweet games, crafts and the photo booth. One could also find Karaoke, cakes and baked goods, a bounce house and an inflatable obstacle course.

One volunteer was thrilled with the response.  "The attendance was great and this event will always be well attended because the JFK culture is supportive and just feels great!”

And the kids? Well, they were moving so fast and having so much fun, it was obvious that the Winter Fling 2011 had succeeded in creating a terrific and fun afternoon.
