JFK Elementary School Events

 Hi folks.

I’m sitting in the empty JFK, looking at the mounds of snow and wondering when we’ll ever see them disappear. The maintenance people and custodians have been hard at work to clear the driveways and parking lot so we’re in great shape for school tomorrow.

All students are receiving the raffle information and tickets for Winter Fling.  These will be coming home in your child’s backpack.

REMINDERS:

PROVIDENCE BRUINS GAME~~~ FEBRUARY 13!!  Please send in your orders! The flyer and ticket form are posted in our JFK backpack.

Dinner Dance Meeting, Sunday Evening, January 30th at 6:30, Lauren's House, 7 Shawnlee Rd.  Planning is underway for our May 13th Evening for Education and anyone interested in helping out is welcome!  If you plan on attending please email either Lauren at latourgee@gmail.com or Beth at kleinbauer@comcast.net as we would like a ballpark headcount to plan accordingly. All are welcome!!!  6:30 - 8ish.

 Box Tops contest still going on.  The drawing for $5 in Raffle Money will be the morning of February 11th to be used at the Winter Fling on February 12!!!  There will be one winner for each grade!!!

Winter Fling is only a few weeks away!  February 12th from 10:00 - 3pm!

You still have time to turn in your forms to Sponsor the Fling, Donate Basket Raffle items, and/or Volunteer at the event!

Look for Ultimate and General pre-raffle sales in your child's bag.   Red Sox tickets, Ipod Touch, Scratch Tickets, Cash and more!  Buy ahead and save time to play at the Fling!

Dance Dance Revolution, Cake Walk, Candy Walk, It's 2 Cool inflatables, Games, Photo Booth, Karaoke, Scrapbooking and much much more!

  NEW CAPE SPELLING BEE DATE! FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 6:00 AT CHS. Please mark this on your calendar.

        Fifth graders, your Winter Fling games are due TOMORROW, January 27!!

Beginning the week of February 14th - February 18th we will be collecting

new or gently used books that are appropriate for children ages 13 and under.

The philanthropy project is through National Charity League, a

mother-daughter organization in which a couple of JFK graduates belong to.

The books collected will go to ReadBoston, which is a non-profit children's

literacy organization with the simple, ambitious goal of ensuring that every

child in Boston can read at grade level by the end of third grade.

We will have a collection box in the front lobby. Get ready to fill

it up and share the love of books and reading.
