Blue Hills Regional Talent Show
The Second Annual Talent Show took place on April 1. Sponsored by the Senior Student Council, the event raised money to defray the cost of the Senior Prom. A variety of acts “provided tremendous fun and enjoyment for all,” according to Judy Bass, Blue Hills Regional communications specialist.

The talent show winners were April Dedos, Peter Chrispin, and Christie DeBlasi, with judging by teachers Jen D’Angelo, Stacy Hedges and Xavier Mahoney. Student Hervens Jean Baptiste hosted the event, while Matt Beattie and Rhys Benson were the sound men.
A raffle at the event raised more than $200 for Japan disaster relief through the American Red Cross.

JFK Artists Take Awards
students Kayla Kleinbauer and Abigail Stubelis were winners of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Massachusetts 2011 Art Contest. Kayla’s city silhouette took third place in the grade 1, 2 and 3 category, while Abigail’s crowd painting won first place. The winners were honored at an awards ceremony in Medway last week.
Local Scholarship Deadline Tuesday
Attention CHS Seniors: The Local Scholarship Packet is available online at www.cantonma.org. If you have not completed your application, get busy, because the deadline for the many scholarships listed is tomorrow.
CHS Junior Prom Friday Night
The Class of 2012 will dance the night away in its fashionable best at the Lake View Pavilion in Foxborough on Friday night. Have fun and be safe!
Luce 5K Run/Walk
The tenth annual 5K Run/Walk and Children’s Fun Run is set for Sunday, May 1.
Events include a half-mile run for ages 4-8 at 10:00 a.m.; a one-mile run for ages 9-12 at 10:30 a.m.; and the 5K Run/Walk for all ages at 11:00 a.m. There are prizes for top finishers in all age groups for the 5K. The event includes raffles, complimentary cookout, DJ and entertainment for kids. Entry fee $20 in advance and $22 after April 29; Fun Run $10. Race application at www.lucefunrun.com.
